Who is responsible for your information

Miftah Photography is the data controller for information you give us through this website, our Facebook or Instagram wedding enquiry forms, or directly by email, phone or WhatsApp. Contact us at mehmood.miftah@gmail.com or +44 7878 852382.

Information we collect and where it comes from

For wedding enquiries, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, wedding date or planned month and year, venue or area, the service or package you are interested in, and any message you send. We also collect your phone number and preferred contact method where supplied. Phone number is optional in our Facebook and Instagram lead forms; the website enquiry form currently requires it.

If you submit a Facebook or Instagram instant form, Meta passes the details you submit to Miftah Photography. Some contact fields may be pre-filled by Meta; you can review and change them before submitting. We also receive information identifying the form or advertisement that generated your enquiry.

The website may record consent choices, referral and campaign information, and basic device information. It may use your IP address temporarily for security and rate limiting. Our enquiry forms do not ask for special-category personal information.

Why we use your information

We use your enquiry to check availability, answer your questions, discuss suitable coverage and prepare a quotation. Where necessary, we process this information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to carry out the contract if you book.

We also use information for our legitimate interests in keeping enquiry records, preventing abuse and operating the website securely. We keep records needed to meet applicable legal and accounting obligations.

When you choose a contact method in our lead form, we use that method to respond. If you choose phone or WhatsApp but do not provide a usable number, we may email you to arrange contact. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. Optional marketing messages require a separate choice, and you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.

Who handles your information

Information is not sold to advertisers. We use service providers for website and database hosting, email delivery, business communications and security. These may include Cloudflare Turnstile for form protection. Optional analytics services are used according to your cookie choices. Client gallery services may be used to deliver work after a booking.

Meta hosts Facebook and Instagram instant forms and makes your submitted details available to us through its business tools. If we communicate through WhatsApp, that service also handles information under its own privacy policy. Meta's platforms have their own privacy policies, which explain their processing independently of Miftah Photography.

International processing

Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, applicable lawful transfer safeguards are used. Contact us for information about the providers handling your enquiry and the safeguards that apply.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information while we are responding to your request or considering a potential booking. We assess whether it is still needed by considering whether the enquiry is active, whether there is an outstanding question or dispute, and any applicable legal or accounting requirements. We review unsuccessful enquiries and remove information that is no longer needed.

If you book, information needed to deliver your services and maintain relevant business records is kept for those purposes. Meta and other communication platforms apply their own retention rules to information they hold.

Your choices and rights

Sending an enquiry is your choice. We need enough contact and wedding information to respond and assess availability. You can contact us directly if you do not want to use a Facebook or Instagram form.

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, or receive a portable copy. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Use the contact details above to make a request.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can always object to use of your information for direct marketing.
